Souaad Nuñez

Mezzo-Soprano, Souaad Nuñez, is an emerging soloist and classical musician in the San Diego area. She studied music at San Diego State University, where she also received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in May 2014. Mrs. Nuñez currently performs with the San Diego Pro Arte Voices, and is in high demand as a church choir ringer. She has sung with St. Paul's Cathedral, First United Methodist Church, and others. She was a proud member of the SDSU Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. Patrick Walders for three years, which inspired her to pursue a career in music. Souaad is the alto section leader at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Del Mar, and was previously the alto scholar at St. Anne's Catholic Church, where she sang Gregorian Chant and polyphony in a High Latin Mass. When not performing, she runs a violin and voice studio of over 20 students of all ages. Souaad is currently in the process of developing a music program for the youth at Iglesia de Christo Maranatha in San Diego, in an attempt to bring music education to the less fortunate children of our communities.
